Can I take my child on holiday without the other parent’s consent?

It depends on where you intend on taking your child. If you are to remain in the UK then no consent is needed, if however, you plan to take the child on holiday abroad it is a different matter.

If you intend to holiday abroad with your child you will need to obtain the consent of the other parent before you leave the country. If you are unable to secure consent then you will need to make an application to the court to obtain permission to remove the child from the jurisdiction.

If you have any concerns as to this issue then please do not hesitate to contact me for further advice.
