Will I need to attend court for a divorce?

Neither you or your spouse will need to attend court, provided the divorce proceedings are uncontested, and the issue of costs has been resolved.

Attendance at court will only be necessary if you are not able to resolve a dispute regarding financial matters, or regarding arrangements for the children. In this situation the assistance of the court will be needed, and you will be required to attend court.
